Surrogacy Treatment in Delhi | Surrogacy Treatment Clinic in Delhi

Surrogacy is a mutual process held in IVF Clinic in Delhi which involves the establishment and carriage of a pregnancy by a surrogate for a commissioning couple. For intended parents, a surrogate mother would agree to carry the baby for the couple.

For opting for surrogacy: extensive counseling with experienced and specialist Ivf Doctor in Delhi, psychiatric assessment and independent legal advice must be sought for the arrangements being provided through IVF India. This is to ensure that the risk of negative outcome is minimized for the parties involved in the process.

IVF India will only facilitate surrogacy in the following situations:

In order to reduce the risks of surrogacy to both the commissioning couple and the proposed surrogate, our clinic have a number of conditions that have to be fulfilled before we avail the couple with our surrogacy service. These are:

The couples opting for surrogacy must first have a defined medical disorder that makes it wither impossible or unconventionally dangerous for a baby to be carried in the uterus. IVF India is not recommended and offered for couples who have experienced repeated unsuccessful attempts with IVF or that there have been repeated miscarriages attached to unspecified causes.

The Gestational surrogate must fulfill all of the following criteria:

The surrogate must be older than 25 years of age and should be less than the age of the natural menopause. The only exception to this will only be in the unique circumstance wherein the gestational carrier is carrying a child on behalf of her daughter or her daughter in-law. In this situation, a maximum age of less than 55th birthday will be applicable.

The surrogate must have a history of giving to a healthy child without any physical and mental complications. She must not have a history of exacerbated illnesses relating to her pregnancy or have a current illness that will deteriorate further with pregnancy.

The surrogate must have an established relationship with the couple for a period of not less than 2 years by the time of the embryo transfer in IVF clinic in delhi.

Both the surrogate and the couple opting for surrogacy cannot opt for the procedure if one of them suffers a significant psychiatric disorder that would impair either the decision-making around the surrogacy process, including at the time of the birth or impair the ability of the couple to care for the child.

Albeit third party donor is permissible, the Gestational carrier must not user her own oocytes.

Due to the multiple risks involved in the surrogacy arrangements, IVF India will not provide treatment involving surrogacy unless all the above mentioned criteria are explicitly fulfilled.

The Surrogacy process:

According to the law and as recommended by the IVF specialized doctor. The first step in surrogacy will be to bring into a medical consultation both the commissioning couple and the proposed surrogate mother and partner (If any). During this consultation, the Assisted Reproductive Technologies and medical treatment required for the particular surrogacy situation will be explained.

Counseling with IVF doctor for the commissioning couple and the surrogate and her partner is undertaken where implications regarding their decision and genetic issues will be discussed.

  • The surrogate and the surrogate's partner and the couple maybe required to avail independent psychiatric and obstetric assessment.
  • The commissioning couple and the surrogacy couple must each obtain independent legal advice from a solicitor/barrister (IVF India can assist with this process), who will be required to provide IVF India with a written certificate confirming that they have advised the couple on their rights and obligations and the implications for any children arising from the surrogacy arrangement.
  • All relevant information will be submitted to IVF India's Ethics Committee for final approval.
  • After the approval, if the woman procuring surrogacy is using her own eggs, she will undergo and IVF treatment cycle in the clinic where her ovaries will be stimulated and her eggs will be collected in the surgery. After that, the eggs will be fertilized with her partner's sperm. The embryo which is then created will be inseminated into the surrogate.
  • Once the pregnancy is successfully confirmed in the IVF clinic, there will be an ongoing consultation with the clinic counselor. This is to ensure that the full implications of the surrogacy especially related to the plans for delivery and the handing over of the baby have been properly discussed.
